Housework Heroes Australia – Mike Stringer
Mike spent twelve years in Sales & Marketing with Canon in the UK. As Marketing General Manager he oversaw a business with an annual turnover of around $1.5 Billion. As part of that responsibility he was active in Canon’s sponsorship of the Williams Formula One Team and the English Football League.
It was during this period that Mike was first exposed to franchising whilst working closely with the two main quickprint franchises Kall Kwik (Kwik Copy in Australia) and Prontaprint to develop their use of digital technologies.
Mike left in 1994 to set up one of the UK’s first Web Agencies. Over the next three years he worked with many blue chip companies including Shell, BBC and Apple in developing their web strategy. The business was quickly expanded to include a digital graphics company – Print 2 Go – and a telephone technical support business that handled all the support for Apple Europe.
Mike returned to Australia with his family in 2004, purchasing Housework Heroes. The Car Care business was purchased in April 2005 with a view to expanding the brand throughout Australia. The purchase of United Home Services in 2010 enabled further technical developments that will help strengthen all the companies.
In summary, Mike has extensive experience in building companies and developing brands in a rapidly changing, highly competitive market.
Mike is also WA State President and board member of the Franchise Council of Australia.
