Housework Heroes commenced business in Perth, Western Australia in 2001 and has grown to become the dominant domestic cleaning franchise in WA. In 2003 the business expanded in to Queensland and South Australia through the appointment of two Master franchisees and has since appointed franchisees in New South Wales and Victoria.
The business ranked in BRW Magazine’s annual franchise report for 2005, 2006 & 2007.
2005 – Housework Heroes was noted as “one to watch” as it ranked 15th fastest growing franchise in Australia in 2005
2006 – Housework Heroes was ranked 19th fastest growing franchise in Australia
2007 – Housework Heroes was ranked 12th fastest growing franchise in Australia
Housework Heroes is part of the Mpower Franchising Group which also owns Car Care – Australia’s largest mobile car detailing franchise.
National Franchisor Mike Stringer is a Director and Board Member of the Franchise Council of Australia.
During 2010, Housework Heroes continued to expand, with the purchase of United Home Services, based in Melbourne. United Home Services offers home and office cleaning, carpet cleaning, ironing and gardening services and featured in BRW magazine’s Fastest Growing Franchise list in Australia for the last six years. This aquisition immediately added more than 100 franchises under the MPower Franchising Group, primarily in the Eastern States.

Currently, Housework Heroes/UHS has around 160 franchisees across all states, and has become one of Australia’s largest domestic cleaning franchises.
